Job Announcement
The Thomas Jefferson EMS Council (TJEMS) is a non-profit organization
seeking an Executive Director. The Executive Director is responsible
for the overall day-to-day operations of the EMS Council which
regionally serves six (6) counties.
The main duties of this position are to meet the deliverables outlined
in the Virginia OEMS contract with TJEMS. This contract can be viewed
on our web site at <http://www.tjems.org/downloads.htm>. Click on
Virginia OEMS contract with TJEMS at the bottom of the list.
It is preferred that interested applicants have a minimum of four (4)
years experience in EMS and/or Bachelors degree in the appropriate
discipline. Minimum of an EMT basic certification is required.
Experience may be considered as a substitute for education. There is an
expectation that the executive director will live in the TJEMS region or
be willing to relocate to Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison
or Nelson County.
Salary range: $45,000 - $49,000 depending on experience/qualifications.
In addition to salary, there is a twenty percent (20%) cash fringe to
purchase health and life insurance and a 2.5% yearly retirement
contribution. There are 11 paid holidays, 2 paid personal days,
vacation and sick leave is accrued at a rate of 8 hours each per month.
