The King LT airway

The Central Shenandoah EMS Council is pleased to report that our Rescue
Squad Assistance Fund grant submitted in March to fund the purchase of
the King LT airways for the region has been awarded. The grant will 100%
fund the purchase of two sets of King airways for each licensed EMS
vehicle in the CSEMS Council region. The King airway will replace the
Combitube airways. 

The airways have been ordered and delivery of the order is expected in
the coming weeks. As shipments are received, allotments will be made
available to agencies. Because we placed such a large order, not all of
the airways will be shipped at once. Please check our website at
www.csems.vaems.org/king to see when your agency's airways are
available. Once your airways are available, you may send a
representative to the Council to pick up your allotment. Updates on
availability will be sent to the CSEMSMail e-mail list

One condition of this 100% funded multi-jurisdictional grant is that the
use of the King airways be tracked for one year and reported to the
Virginia Office of EMS. The King LT Airway Incident Report Form

report usage of the King LT airway to the CSEMS Council. Please make
this form available to agency providers and complete a form each time a
King airway is used and fax the form to the Council. More
