Special Deliveries

This class will provide a comprehensive review of neonatology for the pre-hospital provider.  Subjects to be covered include:  what goes wrong and why with the neonate, important assessment and treatment tips and tricks, and how to manage neonate when they are sick.

No Airway - No Patient

The saying goes "no airway, no patient." In this class, two subjects will be covered: airway and drowning emergencies. It will include review many aspects of airway emergencies and management, to include skills and techniques to maintain a patent airway. The second half of the class will cover pathophysiology of drowning emergencies and appropriate pre-hospital management.

Practical Fun! (BLS Only)

Two hours of BLS skills, which will include a station to refresh the new BLS/AED protocols and AHA guidelines, as well as several other scenarios and skills stations for the less-frequently performed skills and assessments.

There's An Elephant Sitting on My Chest - Chest Pain and Other Cardiac Emergencies (ALS Only)	
This class, specially designed for the ALS provider, will cover one of the most common calls in EMS. From the MI-patient to the not-so-familiar cases, the class will test cardiac knowledge and broaden one's understanding of cardiac calls.
