A local course in Spanish planned specifically for EMS providers; the course will be offered five times over the course of several months. The program is designed to provide area EMS personnel with basic communication skills for the Spanish-speaking patient. Emphasis is placed on proper pronunciation, basic medical terminology and questions, and basic interventions, which allows providers to better assess their patients and document findings. Previous education in Spanish is not necessary!
