Re: EZ-IO Protocol Modifications

The Medical Control Review Committee moved to include the Shock Trauma and
EMT-Enhanced levels as authorized levels to use the EZ-IOR Product System.
This modification resulted in the following modifications to the protocols.

Vidacare, the manufacturer of the EZ-IO, recently received FDA clearance for
distal tibia access. As a result, Procedure 5.14, INTRAOSSEOUS INSERTION,
EZ-IO, was modified to include insertion site identification for the distal
tibia sites.
