EZ-IO Introduction Underway

Council received notification from the Virginia Office of EMS at the
beginning of the month that the grant for the EZ-IOs was approved and funded
at 100%. The Council has ordered and received the EZ-IOs for the region. The
Council will serve as the distribution point for the EZ-IOs.


Sovereign Medical, the distributor of the EZ-IOs, has arranged EZ-IO
training through Vidacare, the manufacturer of the EZ-IO. Two
train-the-trainer programs have been scheduled for our region. These
programs, conducted by a clinical specialist from Vidacare, will train
attendees on the use of the EZ-IOs and then train them to be trainers at
your agency for your personnel.  Regional agency leadership is being
notified of these training sessions.
