The Central Shenandoah EMS Council Medical Control Review Committee and the
protocol  subcommittee have been working to develop updated regional
protocols since the beginning of the year.  The protocol updates reflect the
American Heart Association 2005 Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
and Emergency Cardiovascular Care as well as other guidelines.  Presently, a
draft version of the protocols is published on the CSEMS Council website at
www.csems.vaems.org/protocols/.
  
The Council is in the process of having the pocket field guide printed for
distribution and anticipates the guide will be available in the latter half
of June.  During the month of June, the Council will conduct 10 protocol
training classes in lieu of skills drills.  All regional providers, BLS and
ALS, are strongly encouraged to attend at least one of these training
sessions.  More...
