Re: Regional Awards Program

     The deadline is rapidly approaching for submission of nominees for the
CSEMS Regional Awards Program. The Governor’s EMS Awards program receives
it’s nominees from the eleven regional awards programs. Unless we have
nominees and subsequent award winners, we have no nominations for the
Governor’s awards. I find it somewhat hard to believe and quite honestly,
disturbing, that there are not well deserving individuals, agencies, and
organizations in the CSEMS region that should be recognized. Considering the
numerous categories of awards presented there simply has to be deserving
nominations out there.  In my involvement with the EMS Advisory Board and
several of its committees, one thing has become very obvious to me. That is
that CSEMS is one of the most active, functional, and respected EMS regions
in Virginia. I can name deserving individuals and organizations that should
be considered. In fact, many of the previous Governor’s Awards recipients
from past years have come from the CSEMS region.  

     I am asking each of you to review the list of award categories and
think of deserving candidates. They don’t have to be in your agency. They
simply need to be from the CSEMS region and eligible for the category for
which they are nominated. Take a few minutes to thoroughly complete the
nomination form, which is available on the CSEMS web page at  HYPERLINK
"http://csems.vaems.org/"http://csems.vaems.org/. Be as detailed as you can.
A listing of the categories and the criteria for each one is also available
on our web site. Assistance in completing the nomination form is available
from CSEMS staff by calling 886-3676. Please take the time to help recognize
those from our region that are so deserving.
