[CSEMSmail] Reminder of Regional Awards Nomination Deadline (June 1)

We need more CSEMS Regional Awards nominations and there are many deserving
EMS personnel in our region! You are strongly encouraged to submit
nominations in one or more categories. 

The deadline for submissions is June1.

Regional first place winners will announced on July 26, 2006 at an awards
ceremony sponsored by the CSEMS Council.  The regional winners will be sent
by the Regional EMS Councils to the State EMS Advisory Board to compete at
the state level in the Governor’s EMS Awards.  Recipients of the 2006
Governor’s EMS Awards will be announced and presented a certificate signed
by the Governor and an awards trophy at the Virginia EMS Awards Banquet on
Saturday, November 11, 2006 during the 27th Annual Virginia EMS Symposium at
the Norfolk Waterside Marriott, November 9 -12, 2006. 

The scholarship for a high school senior will again be awarded in 2006.
Regionally, a $1,000 scholarship for outstanding contribution to EMS by a
high school senior will be awarded.  The regional winners will be eligible
to win a $5,000 Scholarship from State EMS Advisory Board.
