AirCare 5, the air medical service operating out of the Shenandoah Valley
Regional Airport in Weyers Cave, VA, has started a ride-along program that
is available to EMS providers.  Participants are educated and briefed on the
aircraft and safety-related items in the morning before going on flights
with the crew.  General guidelines have been established and include: age 18
years and older, weight limit of 220 pounds. The ride-along program operates
from 07:30 to 18:00.  Participants need to be healthy and have no physical
restrictions regarding flight environment.

forms and more information and the service will work to set a date for the
ride-along.
