The following are training announcements from the region announced to the CSEMS Council:

      VAVRS District 1 Training Weekend 
            District 1 will be hosting a training weekend in Waynesboro, VA. Classes planned include Vehicle Rescue 2000, EVOC, Farm Machinery Extrication, BTLS, Response to Terrorism, and Hazardous Materials Awareness. 
           
            Dates: April 6-10, 2005 
            Location: Waynesboro First Aid Crew
            Waynesboro, VA

       Basic Trauma Life Support 
            Basic Trauma Life Support is a hands-on training course offering BLS and ALS EMS personnel complete training in the skills necessary for rapid assessment, resuscitation, stabilization and transportation of trauma patients. The course is designed for providers who must initially evaluate and stabilize the trauma patient. For the advanced EMT, paramedic and trauma nurse, the primary objectives of the course are to teach the correct sequence of evaluation and the techniques of resuscitation and packaging a patient.
