Regional ID Badge Program |

 The CSEMS
Council, in conjunction with the operational medical
directors, support a regional ID badge
program. This insures proper identification and skill levels of
providers in the field. The badge is the size of a credit card and has a
removable clip. It resembles a hospital ID badge and has the persons
photo, level of training and agency affiliation(s). The cost is $2 per
badge (what it cost us). The system is portable. Letters were sent
to each agency Chief/Capt. to arrange for a time for CSEMS to come to each
agency to make badges. Providers may also come to the Council office to
have a badge made. The OMD's have encouraged this program and each agency should
discuss with their OMD what he/she wishes.
However OMD committee (MCRC) strongly encouraged all providers to where the
badge while providing patient care. However each OMD can decide in conjunction
with the agency the best choice for them. |
