Area CE Offerings


 SUPER CE (CSEMS Council)
The Council presents the September Super CE program.  This popular training session is a day-long program at the Council office in Staunton, VA.  The program will offer eight hours of both BLS and ALS continuing education. This Super CE session is the fourth of six sessions being offered this year.

 ALS Continuing Education (CSEMS Council)
These programs are CE for advanced life support providers.  These CE classes are open to all ALS providers for Category 1 CE credit.  Additional information regarding the schedule, topics and speakers for the Super CE days is announced at least one month before the class date and registration is then opened.

 BLS Continuing Education (CSEMS Council)
These programs are CE for basic life support providers.  These CE classes are open to all BLS providers for Category 1 CE credit.  Additional information regarding the schedule, topics and speakers for the Super CE days is announced at least one month before the class date and registration is then opened.

 EMT-Intermediate Course (CSEMS Council)
This EMT-Intermediate course is open for ALS continuing education.  Not all class sessions listed offer Category 1 CE; check with the instructor.  Space is limited for CE students and the schedule is subject to change.  You must contact Matt Lawler to confirm the scheduled topic as well as space availability.  Class starts at 19:00 at the CSEMS Council.

 BLS & ALS CE (Augusta County area)

 ALS & BLS CE (Augusta Medical Center)

ALS and BLS continuing education classes.  These classes are for current ALS and BLS providers who need continuing medical education hours.  The classes are located at the Augusta Medical Center Lifetime Education Building 2nd Floor.

 EMSAT Training (Timberville)

Emergency Medical Services Satellite Training (EMSAT) is a monthly, one-hour interactive training and information program for Virginia EMS and Fire personnel. EMSAT broadcasts and DVDs offer required EMS topics at the ALS and BLS levels, and enrichment classes that may not be widely available throughout the state. Certified Virginia EMS providers may receive category I continuing education credit by viewing an EMSAT broadcast at a designated state site. Providers may also receive category III continuing education credit for viewing EMSAT DVDs.
