 Cardiac Arrest - Top 10 Do's and Don’ts When You Get Them Back [ALS]

We work so hard to resuscitate our cardiac arrest patients.  Unfortunately, many arrest end with a poor outcome.  However, sometimes we get them back!  The post resuscitation phase of the call can be very dynamic and may require many actions on your part to aid in a full recovery for the patient.  This presentation will discuss the management of the post-arrest patient and highlight best practices and practices that should be avoided.

This presentation will review the anatomy and physiology of the spinal column and the spinal cord and discuss common mechanisms of injury that are encountered in the field. The assessment of patients with spinal injuries, their management and current controversies will be discussed in detail. Extensive use of case histories, illustrated with imaging studies, will be used to illustrate the discussion
